What’s on board

Shows and entertainment

The Walt Disney Theatre will stage Disney Encanto, which Disney calls the “world’s first stage adaptation” of the film. It will be exclusive to Disney Believe. Tangled: The Musical, a hit show from Disney Magic, joins the line-up with a reimagined set, and Disney Seas the Adventure is also on the programme.

Gazelle is a new entertainment hub inspired by Zootopia, aimed at families by day and adults by night. It includes a new detective-style show with Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde, the first time these characters have appeared on Disney Cruise Line.

The Grand Hall and exterior

The Grand Hall is inspired by Moana, with a bronze statue of Moana, Pua and Heihei. Te Fiti’s heart is hidden in the chandelier. Outside, Woody and Buzz Lightyear feature on the stern, and a Tinker Bell filigree decorates the bow.

Restaurants, bars and cafés

  • New: Oaken’s Table: A Frozen Family Feast, a family restaurant with appearances from Anna and Kristoff
  • Returning: 1923 and Worlds of Marvel
  • Bars and lounges: Wishing Well (Snow White), Sea Notes (a Little Mermaid piano lounge), Skygazers (an observatory-themed pub), Haunted Mansion Parlor and The Rose

  • Disney’s Oceaneer Club (3 to 10 years)
  • Edge (11 to 13 years)
  • Vibe (14 to 17 years)
  • The Hideaway

The AquaMouse water ride returns, there’s a Toy Story splash area for young children, and Disney says there are seven pools in the Mickey and Friends district.

Staterooms and suites

Disney says most staterooms have ocean views, 70% include a verandah and more than 450 have connecting doors. Stateroom themes include Moana, Coco and Inside Out. Suites include the Royal Reef Suite (The Little Mermaid) and the Royal Rose Suite (Beauty and the Beast).

The headline suite is the Believe Tower Suite. It’s two storeys high, sleeps eight, sits inside the forward funnel and is themed to the lands of Magic Kingdom.

Construction progress

Disney Believe is being built by Meyer Werft in Papenburg, Germany. According to the Disney Parks Blog:

  • 18 September 2026: the first of three “gigablocks”, containing the midship section, was floated out. Disney says these sections can weigh over 31,000 tons.
  • 5 October 2026: the keel-laying ceremony took place.

What Disney hasn’t said yet

Disney hasn’t yet published:

  • the ship’s gross tonnage or number of decks
  • how many guests it will carry
  • the total number of staterooms
  • who the ship’s godparent will be
  • prices

For context only, the official fact sheets for its sister ships Disney Wish, Disney Treasure and Disney Destiny give each as about 144,000 gross tons, 4,000 passengers and 1,246 to 1,254 staterooms. These are not Disney Believe’s figures.

Disney Adventure: the newest ship already sailing

If you’re wondering which Disney ship is newest right now, that’s Disney Adventure. It made its maiden voyage from Singapore on 10 March 2026, and it’s Disney Cruise Line’s first ship to be based in Asia.

  • Size: the eighth and largest ship in the fleet, 1,122 ft long, carrying about 6,700 guests and about 2,500 crew (according to The Walt Disney Company)
  • Cruises: 3- and 4-night sailings from Marina Bay Cruise Centre, Singapore
  • New port: select sailings from 31 December 2026 add Langkawi, Malaysia

The Disney Cruise Line fleet in brief

Disney Cruise Line has eight ships in service: Disney Magic, Disney Wonder, Disney Dream, Disney Fantasy, Disney Wish, Disney Treasure, Disney Destiny and Disney Adventure. Disney Believe will be the ninth. Disney plans to grow its fleet to 13 ships by the early 2030s, including a new class of ships expected from 2029. No further ships have been detailed yet.
