Privacy & cookies
Last updated: 18 October 2026
The short version
- We don't use cookies, analytics, adverts or tracking of any kind.
- Our planning tools save what you type in your own browser. It stays on your device and is never sent to us.
- Our web host keeps standard server logs (like your IP address) to run the site and keep it secure.
- If you email us, we use your details to reply to you, and that's it.
- We don't have a newsletter yet, so we don't collect email addresses for one.
- If any of this changes, we'll update this page first, and ask for your consent where the law requires it.
Who we are
Diznee Mad (dizneemad.com) is an unofficial, UK-based Disney fan blog with free trip planning tools. In this notice, "we", "us" and "our" mean Diznee Mad.
The website's hosting, privacy and personal data are looked after by Gibbard Digital (opens in a new tab), which is responsible for any personal data described here (the "data controller"). You can contact us about anything on this page at hello@dizneemad.com.
Cookies
Diznee Mad doesn't set any cookies. We don't use analytics, advertising, social media buttons, tracking pixels or embedded content from other websites. Our fonts are stored on our own site too, so loading a page doesn't send your details to font services like Google Fonts.
Because we don't use cookies that need your consent, you won't see a cookie banner. If that ever changes, we'll ask first (see Adverts and future changes).
What our planning tools save in your browser
Our planning tools remember what you enter, so your countdown, checklist or budget is still there when you come back. They do this using your browser's local storage, which is a small space on your own device. This information is never sent to us and we can't see it.
Anything you type into a tool, such as a family name in the countdown or your children's names and heights in the ride height checker, stays on your device. Under UK law (PECR), we don't need your consent for this because it's strictly necessary to provide a feature you've chosen to use.
| Name | What it's for | How long it stays |
|---|---|---|
dizneemad-countdown | Trip countdown: your trip date, time, park and optional name | Until you clear it |
dizneemad-heights | Ride height checker: your chosen park, units, and the names and heights you enter | Until you clear it |
dizneemad-packing | Packing checklist: your trip details (park, season, who's going) and the items you've ticked, added or removed | Until you clear it |
dizneemad-budget | Trip budget planner: your trip details (dates, nights, party size), costs, savings, spending and exchange rates | Until you clear it |
How to clear it: delete your browsing data or "site data" for dizneemad.com in your browser's settings. Using a private or incognito window means nothing is kept after you close it. Clearing it removes your saved tool details for good, as we don't have a copy.
Sharing a countdown: if you use the "Share countdown" button, the link it creates contains your trip date, time, park and any name you entered. Anyone you send it to can see those details, and when they open it, the link is requested from our web host like any other page, so it may appear in the server logs described below. Leave the name blank if you'd rather not include it.
Server logs from our web host
Our website is hosted by Hostinger. Like almost every website, when you visit a page our host's servers automatically record standard technical information, such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you request and the time of the request. This is needed to deliver the site to you and to keep it secure, for example to spot and block attacks.
Our lawful basis is legitimate interests: running a working, secure website. Hostinger keeps these logs for a limited period for security purposes. You can read more inHostinger's privacy policy (opens in a new tab). We don't use these logs to build profiles of visitors.
If you email us
If you email hello@dizneemad.com, we'll use your name, email address and whatever you tell us to read and reply to your message. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests: answering people who get in touch. We keep emails only for as long as we need them to deal with your message, and we never sell or share your details for marketing.
Newsletter
We don't have a newsletter yet, so we don't collect any email addresses for one. Before we start taking sign-ups, we'll update this notice to explain which email service we use, what we collect and how to unsubscribe.
Affiliate links
We don't currently use affiliate links. If we add them in future, clicking one will take you to a retailer's website, which may set its own cookies under its own privacy policy, for example to record that you came from us. We'll update this notice when that happens. Our affiliate disclosureexplains how affiliate links work on Diznee Mad.
Adverts and future changes
We may show adverts on Diznee Mad in future. They aren't live yet. Before any adverts, analytics or other non-essential cookies are switched on, we'll update this notice and ask for your consent with a cookie banner, so you can say yes or no.
Links to other websites
Our posts and tools link to other websites, such as Disney's official pages and GOV.UK travel advice. Once you leave Diznee Mad, those websites' own privacy and cookie policies apply, so it's worth checking them.
Children
Diznee Mad is written for a general audience, including families planning trips together. We don't knowingly collect personal data from children. Names and heights entered into our tools stay on your own device, as explained above. If you think a child has emailed us personal information, let us know and we'll delete it.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law (UK GDPR), you have the right to:
- Access: ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Rectification: ask us to correct anything that's wrong.
- Erasure: ask us to delete your personal data.
- Restriction: ask us to limit how we use your data.
- Objection: object to us using your data on the basis of legitimate interests.
- Portability: ask for your data in a format you can take elsewhere, where this applies.
To make a request, email hello@dizneemad.com. We'll reply within one month. Remember that we can't see or delete what our tools save in your browser, but you can clear it yourself at any time.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, please tell us first so we can try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK's data protection regulator:make a complaint to the ICO (opens in a new tab).
Changes to this notice
We'll update this page whenever we change how Diznee Mad handles data, and change the "last updated" date at the top. For bigger changes, such as adding a newsletter, analytics or adverts, we'll update it before the change goes live.
